Another Trip to Dublin
Yesterday, the boys went on another trip to the city. This time they rode on an open top bus and had some free time for shopping and sightseeing. This time we had arranged to meet Tokai OB, Shun M! It was a fun day out!

Kilkenny
On Saturday some of the boys went to Kilkenny, a historic town about an hour from Dublin. They enjoyed a guided tour as well as some free time. The view from the top of the Cathedral was spectacular.
An Extraordinary Coincidence
It' a small world. Last week, while out and about in Dublin, a group of Tokai boys bumped into Shun M, a Tokai OB who had been on the Irish Trip with Tokai 6 years ago. Shun has been on a working holiday in Dublin for the past four months and will stay in Ireland until next year. Needless to say, he speaks great English these days!
A Trip to a Historic Ship
One group of boys visited a historic ship called the Jeannie Johnson. It is moored in Dublin Port on the River Liffey and is a museum to the suffering of the many hundreds of thousands of people who made the terrible journey to America during the Potato Famine in the 19th Century.

Irish Sports!
Irish people love sport. As well as soccer, rugby, hockey and many other sports there are some traditional Irish sports. The boys were taught the basics of Hurling and Gaelic Football. Listening to instructions while having fun and moving around is a really good way to improve the boys' English as well as make new friends.
